Scarves from Travels

Recently, I’ve decided to ransack my closet to pack some clothes to be given away to charity. Just as I was doing it, I was surprised to know that I do have a lot of scarves of different textiles from various countries. It just now that I know that I have, I may say- a pretty much scarf collection.

Scarf is multi-purpose and of great importance for me when I travel because of the comfort it gives me.

To show some, here are a few of my favorites:

I got this from Singapore. Very plain and simple. Can be used for formal occasions.

These 2 pieces, I got these from Malaysia. On the contrary to the first one, these are very casual and hip.

These scarves are from Cambodia. This light blue satin-like scarf is my season’s favorite. It’s very light and chic. I love how intricately it was designed with gold-coulored elephants. Usually, a white tee paired with jeans can be oh so stylish in an instant when you added a scarf- simple and chic.

This one gives me the total comfort. It’s bigger than the usual scarf and very soft. Very good to use inside the airplane if you are not comfortable to use the blanket provided for.  You can also use this to lie down on or  as a cover up while enjoying the sand and the beach. Bought this from Marks and Spencer in Jakarta.

This was my very first scarf. I bought this from Hong Kong during my first international travel- Hong Kong-Beijing Trip way back 2007 I guess. It was very comfortable to use then because it was freaking -12 degree celsius in Beijing that time.

Interestingly, these are the stuffs that made me remember those wonderful places, just as others brought home t-shirts, key chains, to name a few.

Where's the next?!

Until my next scarf,
